Green Mission Critical Power Solutions: Astron Technology is an authorized dealer of Capstone Microturbines. The benefits of using microturbines include electric utility curtailment programs, government rebates or tax incentives, plus green building incentives and significant press opportunities.  Further, these products can help you overcome other obstacles such as emissions restrictions, expensive utility connections or utility rates.  

The microturbine system is anticipated to be used as primary power to reduce or eliminate battery and genset installations, reduce emissions, reduce maintenance requirements, recapture footprint inside critical facilities and reduce electrical generation costs.

Microturbines can be located indoors or out and easily connect to existing distribution or utility grids.  

With the clean hot exhaust these units are perfect for combined heat and power (CHP).  In a CHP installation the Microturbines’ clean and dry exhaust will provide a free heat source for dehumidification, heating and absorption cooling.  CHP configurations can be as much as 65% to 85% efficient (depending on design).  This is accomplished by reusing the clean, dry heat from the exhaust of the turbine.
